Geraldine (Geri) Mae White

Of Jackson, Michigan, formerly of Chelsea MI and Sarasota FL. Age 95, died September 5, 2020 at Hospice House in Jackson, MI, with her daughter by her side.  She now resides in the house of her Lord and Savior.  She was born April 8, 1925 in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Harold & Elizabeth (Spangenburg) Roth.

Geri loved fashion and shopping. She was shy until she got to know someone. Geri enjoyed her years at Weber’s Restaurant as a cashier. She and Guy owned two motels in Sarasota FL. Geri engaged with her guests, many of whom became friends and returned every year. Sunshine and the beach were things she liked very much. Geri enjoyed the old hymns and scripture and attending church services with family and friends.

Patricia Anne Lawrence

of Ann Arbor, Michigan, age 92, died Friday, September 4, 2020 at her home. She was born March 4, 1928 in Flat Rock, MI, the daughter of Harry Christian & Alice L. (Osmun) Anderson.  Patricia attended Flat Rock High School, where she enjoyed playing basketball. She lived in many different areas, including Iowa, Grayling, in a remote area near Mio, Dexter, and finally Ann Arbor. Pat worked at Head Start in Dexter, and later at TJ Max, JC Penney, Meijer (all in Ann Arbor). She attended Dexter Gospel Church.

Shirley Ann Schultz

Shirley Ann Schultz of Gregory, age 80, died due to pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at her home with her family at her side. She was born April 25, 1940, in Garden City, Michigan, the daughter of Norbert & Eveline Gladys (Kline) Schultz.

Shirley was proud that she went back to Stockbridge High School and graduated in 1987. She worked at Chelsea Retirement Community for over 30 years as a receptionist. When she wasn't at CRC, she was at home enjoying her pond.

Roberta “Bobbie” (Gerlach) Sanderson

of Chelsea, Michigan, age 73, died Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born March 5, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Robert & Josephine Gerlach.  Bobbie graduated from Sandwich High School in 1965. She married Roy George Sanderson in Aurora, Illinois, in 1967. They lived in Illinois until 1980, when they moved to Michigan. Bobbie and Roy went to Arizona in the winters. They attended the Chelsea Kingdom Hall. Bobbie worked for the US Postal Service in Millington, IL, and then the Grass Lake Post Office, where she retired. Friends and family were very important to Bobbie, and the grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a large part of her life.

Elvira Hahn

of Ypsilanti, MI, formerly Gregory, MI, and Livonia, MI, Age 92, died Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Arbor Hospice Residence in Saline. She was a rare soul befitting of her birthday, February 29, leap year, 1928. In fact, 2020 was just the 23rd year she actually had a birthday. Born in Detroit, the daughter of Gaetano (Guy) & Carmela (Romano) DiCicco, 1st generation Italian immigrants, she attended Detroit public schools and later, University of Detroit where she achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She was a basketball player, fluent in Italian, Spanish, and English. She started a career in Public Relations before retiring to raise an ever-growing family.
