Paul Anthony Daoust

 
of Chelsea, Michigan, age 83, died Saturday, October 10, 2020 at his home at the Pines in Chelsea. He was born September 14, 1937 in Plymouth, Michigan, the son of John & Florence (Hebert) Daoust. Paul was a very hard working man providing for his wife and five children.  His skills as an iron worker took him across the country from the crew assembling the Seattle Space Needle, to the bridges spanning the Ohio River in Cincinnati, and finally back to Michigan.  As a proud member of the UAW, he worked for many years in Skilled Trades at the GMC transmission plant in Ypsilanti.  Paul and his wife Marilyn’s home was often referred to as “The Chelsea Hotel”  where they always welcomed extended family with open arms, especially during the summer.  He treated everyone as his friend.  He enjoyed keeping up his yard, small garden and pool.  Paul also very much loved to read.  Paul was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea.
 

Nettie Esther Severn

of Chelsea, MI, age 91, died Sunday, October 11, 2020 at her home. She was born September 2, 1929 in Saginaw, MI, the daughter of Edwin F. & Irene (Yokuty) Greenleaf.
Nettie was a member of Chelsea First United Methodist Church. She volunteered over 6000 hours at Chelsea Community Hospital, and was Auxiliary President from 1988-1989. Nettie worked with her husband Pete in their home business. She loved playing solitaire, reading, and traveling. Nettie liked golfing at many different courses. Every year they spent their winters on Estero Island off of Ft. Myers, FL. The most important thing in her life was her family.

Judith “Judi” Allayne Willson

Judith “Judi” Allayne Willson of Grass Lake, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at Henry Ford Allegiance Health Care in Jackson. She was born December 5, 1954, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and grew up in Chelsea, the daughter of Julius Emerson & Jean Allayne (Newman) Blaess.

Judi worked at Chrysler Proving Grounds in Chelsea as an Administrative Assistant, Endurance Driver and Stockkeeper until her retirement in 2018.

Judi had a gift for planting ever-flowering perennial gardens, and was a fan of musicals. She acted in productions at the Croswell Opera House, and she had been a season ticket holder at the Fisher Theater, as well as attending productions at the Wharton Center. Judi loved baking, decorating for Christmas, and was an avid collector of angels. She especially loved her grandchildren.

Helen Michelle "Mickey" Miller

Of Chelsea, Michigan, age 73, passed quietly, at home with her family Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Born to parents the late Norman R. McNally and MaryAnn (Quinn) McNally, August 6, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio. Mickey graduated from Bowser High School in 1965 with life long friends Patty Miller, Carol (Fix) Smith and Nina (Wendell) Meek.

Mickey and John were married on June 11, 1966 and renewed their vows on their 50th wedding anniversary at St. Malachy Catholic Church Rantoul, Illinois Father Dennis O'Reiley officiated both. In 1967 they welcomed son John Andrew "John John" Miller Jr and in 1970 daughter Jennifer Lea Jimenez-Miller. They lived in Ida, Michigan for 35 years before moving to Chelsea for the last 15 years.

Eleanor Catherine Eddington

Eleanor Catherine Eddington of Walled Lake, Michigan, age 95, died Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Ascension Providence Hospice in Novi. She was born August 10, 1925 in New York, New York, the daughter of Henry & Mary (Zoubek) Krizek. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers. 
 
Eleanor married Kenneth M. Eddington on August 11, 1945 and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2014. Eleanor is survived by one son, Tom Eddington of Commerce Township; and one daughter, Linda Dufek (Frank) of Chelsea; 5 grandchildren: Brian Dufek (Alice), Tracy Parron (Rich), Lesley Ranney (Kirk), Eric Eddington, Jeffrey Eddington and 7 great-grandchildren.
