Eva Joan May Bollet

of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Collierville, TN

Age 90, died Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at her home. She was born May 3, 1930 in Warren Township, the daughter of Percy D. & Corrine A (Lipscomb) Noble.

More than anything Eva loved spending time with her family. For years, she worked in downtown Chelsea, first at Chelsea Drug Store, and then at Chelsea Card and Gift. Many new friendships were made, especially when she worked behind the soda fountain at Chelsea Drug Store. Two of her favorite hobbies were golf and making beautiful stained glass pieces. In 1966 she was the Women's Club Champion at Inverness Country Club. On September 8, 1994, she received a Hole In One plaque while golfing at Pine Course in Fairfield Glades, TN. 

Andrea Lynn Kline

Andrea Lynn Kline of Gregory, Michigan, age 63, died Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor following a brief illness. Andrea was born January 25, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of James D. and Barbara Lee (Kelly) Kline.

Andrea graduated from Baltimore’s Woodlawn High School in 1975, completed her undergraduate work at West Virginia University in 1981, and earned her Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Michigan’s School for Environment and Sustainability in 1985.

John “Ray” Steinbach

of Chelsea, Michigan, age 86, died on Friday September 25^th, after a battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born November 5, 1933, in Chelsea, Michigan, the son of Martin Charles & Alene Constance (Schoberg) Steinbach.  Ray attended and graduated from Chelsea High School in 1951. While in High School he ran track and cross country. Ray earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. His major of study was geology and was always on the lookout for another great rock. Ray always loved photography and in school, took many photos for yearbook. He was hired by Washtenaw Community College, in 1992, where he started their Photography program. Another love of his was trains, he volunteered at the Steam Railroading Institute and worked on the 1225 Steam Locomotive in Owosso for 15-20 years. He enjoyed bowling and enjoyed being on a number of leagues at Chelsea Lanes. Ray collected stamps and coins. He was a member of the Model Train Club in Chelsea and Sharon United Methodist Church in Manchester. Ray was a past president of the Manchester Historical Society.

Marjorie I. Robbins Dack

of Pleasant Lake, MI, formerly of Chelsea, age 89, died Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson. She succumbed to the effects of COVID-19 14 days after she tested positive. She was born April 28, 1931 in Salem Township, Michigan, the daughter of Kenneth S. & Irene D. (Bennett) Proctor.

Marj truly wanted God's light to shine through her life.  She cared about people so much that for many years she opened her home to families of patients being treated at the headache clinic in Chelsea.  She was committed to Campus Crusade for Christ (now known as Cru) and through them performed courageous acts of service.  For 7 weeks in 2005 following Hurricane Katrina, she helped feed thousands of displaced people at God’s Katrina Kitchen in Pass Christian, Mississippi.  She also made two trips to Afghanistan to help widows learn sewing to support themselves, and to share the message of Jesus.
