Michael Timothy Lucas

Micheal T. Lucas, Age 71, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 13, 2023, at his home. He was born February 20, 1952, in Saint Simons, Georgia, the son of Albert Lawrence Lucas and Nora Irene (Larock) Lucas.

Michael was General Manager of Manchester Machine for 30 years where he was highly sought out for his specialized precision work of commercial machines. He was often referred to as MacGyver by many because of his ability to repair and refurbish equipment better than it was from the factory. Mike had a tremendous sense of humor and always loved a good laugh He was loved by many. At the end, Michael reached out to those most important to him so he could say goodbye.

Ruth A. Curtis

of Chelsea, Michigan, a former long-term resident of Sharon Township, age 67, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Henry Ford Hospice in Jackson. She was born July 31, 1955, in Jackson, Michigan, the daughter of Norman E. and Paula (Hefele) Curtis.

Ruth graduated from Manchester High School. She then earned her LPN from Eastern Michigan University and her RN from Ferris State University. Ruth worked diligently throughout her life as a float nurse and had a passion for working with children in psychiatric units. She also had a deep admiration for the outdoors and all animals.

Candace C. Platt

Candace Platt, 76, of Chelsea, passed away on July 6^th, 2023, at home after a long illness. She is a beloved mother, wife and sister. Candace was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, marrying her husband Barry on March 17th, 1974. She lived an adventurous life and was an avid reader and enjoyed theatre. She is predeceased by her parents Thomas B. Cresswell Sr. and Barbara Worth Cresswell Sr. and her brother Jonathan, and is survived by her husband Barry, her sisters Barbara, Deborah, and Wendy and her brother Thomas, as well as her daughter Tara, her son-in-law Yuri, and her grandson Sagan. She will be deeply missed by her family. 

Frank "Andy" Compau Jr.

Frank “Andy” Compau Jr. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 18, 2023. He was born May 18, 1954 in Wyandotte, Michigan, the first child of Joan and Frank Compau.

Frank was raised in Trenton, Michigan, spending most of his childhood outdoors. In his early years his passion for the outdoors began. He spent countless hours on the water, boating, fishing and waterskiing. As he grew it expanded and he became an avid hunter, fisherman and tracker. His need to be in the outdoors lead him into a career as a landscaper which ended when he retired from Ford Land Management as Head Landscaper for Ford World Headquarters and all surrounding properties they owned.
