Margaret "Peggy" Catherine Dillinger Beals, RN

Of Waterloo Township, Michigan, age 91, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Silver Maples of Chelsea. She was born April 10, 1932, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of George E. and Ruth P. (Litzenberg) Dillinger.

Peggy graduated from Germantown High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1950, and received her RN from the Albert Einstein Medical Center in 1953.

Peggy married Theodore Fairbank Beals in the Douglas Memorial Chapel in Ann Arbor on June 13, 1954. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her brother George. She is survived by her children, Sandra Beals of Ann Arbor, James Beals (Kelli Sullivan) of Ann Arbor, Lynn Beals of Webster Township, and John Beals of Ann Arbor; two brothers, David Dillinger of Warrington, Pennsylvania, and Paul Dillinger of Escondito, California; five grandchildren, Andrea (Moreno-Beals) (Yoni) Paz, Brian Moreno, Michael Moreno, William Becker, and Josh (Miranda) McVety; one great-grandchild, Soleil Daliya Paz; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Norma Ann (Sell) Seyfried

Norma Seyfriedof Jackson, Michigan, formerly of Ann Arbor and Chelsea, age 88, died Friday, September 22, 2023 at Trellis Gardens Assisted Living in Jackson, Michigan. She was born March 7, 1935 in Ann Arbor, the daughter of Ernest F and Anna Veronica (Burton) Sell.
 
Norma graduated from St. Thomas High in 1953. She went to nursing school and worked as a registered nurse until her oldest son was born. Norma was a member of the Lima Study Group since 1982 and was a member of the F.C.E. where she enjoyed the companionship of the group. She enjoyed bingo, camping, canning, reading, swimming, and traveling south to Texas in the winter with her husband Richard.
 

Alexander Czinski

Age 66, died Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at his home. Alexander was born August 1, 1957 in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Stanley and Mary (Bilak) Czinski.

Al was a graduate of Huron High School. During his working life, he was a warehouse supervisor for Hutzel Plumbing and Heating before his retirement. “Big Al” loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling the world with Barb, and visiting family and friends.

Joe Hadley

Of Grass Lake, MI, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at his home. He was born September 17, 1946 in Whitmore Lake, Michigan, the son of Harry L. & Beulah M. (Lindsay) Hadley Sr. Joe attended both Chelsea High School and Grass Lake High School. He enlisted in the US Army right after high school, and served in Alaska in Military Intelligence.   Joe worked  Central Fiber in Chelsea. He became a carpenter, building houses in the Chelsea/Grass Lake area, working as “Joe Hadley & Sons” with Harry & Brent. He loved being outside, riding horses, and coon hunting. He also did drag racing with stock cars. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, and had a great sense of humor.

Dianne Arlene Kuhl

of Dexter, Michigan, age 74, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at her home. She was born June 17, 1949, in Bottineau, North Dakota, the daughter of Everett Joseph and Gladys Arlene (Monson) Solper.

Dianne graduated from Bottineau High School in 1967. She worked at MacDee’s in Chelsea, and Rick’s Market. She then became a letter carrier for the US Postal Service, working in Chelsea for most of her career, retiring after 30 years. Dianne was a Union Steward, Health Benefits Representative, and a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. Dianne enjoyed sewing and quilting and was in a quilting club. She loved to garden, growing her own fruits and vegetables, canning, and then sharing them with others. She also loved her plants and flowers which she enjoyed sharing. Dianne showed up for her family, no matter what. She was very caring and extremely generous. Dianne was someone who went out of her way to share what she had with anyone who had a need.
