of Chelsea, Michigan, age 73, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Michigan Medicine. He was born November 24, 1949, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the son of Lawrence R. and Barbara (Wilson) Hochstadt, Sr.
Larry was a Polio survivor, and one of the first children to receive the “new” Salk vaccine. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and had recently begun rock hunting.
Larry was married to Elizabeth McCormick for 52 years, and she survives. He is also survived by his sister, Lorraine (Patrick) Pickering; his special friend, Paul Reed; and his cats, Buster and Buddy “Fluffy Butt.”
His soul soared as an eagle, now he can run. Enjoy your life to the max.
Per Larry’s request, no services will be held and cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish America,1702 E. Highland Ave., Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016, or the Humane Society of Huron Valley, 3100 Cherry Hill Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. Arrangements were entrusted to Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea.
