Obituaries

Of Chelsea, age 89, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Chelsea Retirement Community. He was born April 18, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Valentine William “Bill” and Charlotte Rose (Chojna) Wisniewski.
 
Tony graduated from Edwin Denby High School in 1952. He served in the Army from 1954-1956, during the Korean War. He was a Tool & Die apprentice with Bower Roller Bearings, and later worked with Federal-Mogul, retiring in 1994. Tony was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He was a member and former President of the Chelsea Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed woodworking and carving. He also liked camping, especially in Waterloo and Manistee.
 
On October 13, 1956, Tony married Beverly Willis and she preceded him in death on April 5, 1991. On June 22, 1996, he married Nelly Maree Cobb, and she preceded him in death on October 31, 2006. Survivors include two children, Tony (Patti) Wisniewski and Debbie (Jay) Butler, both of Chelsea; three step-sons, Daniel (Christine) Cobb, Kenneth (Carla) Cobb, and Richard (Linda)Cobb; three step-daughters, Lynda Cobb, Susan McCalla, and Marilyn (Andy) Weir; son-in-law, Duane Quinn; 6 grandchildren, Jessica (Jake) Grambau, Daniel (Lexi) Wisniewski, Bobby Vasas, Shaun (Barbara) Vasas, Billy (Ashley) Vasas, Brittany (Martin) Moore; several step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Katherine Quinn; and step-son-in-law, Ken McCalla.

Dear Tony and Debbie,
Charley and I are so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. We had lots of fun with him and your Mom at all the Rod and Gun Club functions way back when.
He was a great guy and will be missed by all who loved him. May he R.I.P
