of Chelsea, age 90, died Thursday, October 12, 2017 at her home. She was born January 19, 1927 in Wayne, Michigan, the daughter of Henry & Kathryn (Branton) Warblow. She graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in 1945. After high school, Dot worked at Kroger where she met her future husband, Jim. Dot was a member of Faith Lutheran Church since 1964. She raised five children, and returned to the work force at Xerox, where she worked for many years. She enjoyed sewing.
of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Jackson, age 58, died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Arbor Hospice Residence in Saline with his loving children at his side. He was born September 4, 1959 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of William H. & Marjorie I. (O'Donnell) Miller. Jeff was a charming and spirited man, and what he most enjoyed was his kids and grandkids. He graduated from Chelsea High School in 1977. Jeff worked for Urban Auto Sales in Jackson, Aardvark Pest Control, and Walmart in Jackson. He spent the majority of his life in Chelsea and Jackson, and also spent time in Florida. Jeff loved all sports, and was an avid U of M sports fan. He loved hunting and fishing.
Mary was born May 6, 1928 to Goldie Conrad Brown and Dewey Brown in Lawrenceville, Illinois, in hardscrabble southern Illinois prairie and farming country. By the age of 2, her father had died and the country was plunged into the Great Depression. She was raised by her widowed mother who took in laundry to make a living. Mary made the most of a life that didn’t hand her any breaks. She bore two children at a very young age, and 3 more children after marrying US Army Staff Sergeant Charles Graham in 1948.
of Jackson, age 71, went to be with the Lord Monday, October 2, 2017 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born May 26, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Clarence B. & Betty Lea (Thorn) Pietila. Carol graduated from Pinckney High School in 1964. She worked for Raycon, 3M, Chrysler, and retired from Gelman Sciences/ Pall Corp. Carol attended the Chelsea Free Methodist Church, and more recently Crossroads Church in Stockbridge. She participated in several Bible studies, and loved taking care of the babies at church. Carol loved being at Patterson Lake, and all the water activities. She fed everyone she met.

Age 102, died peacefully Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born May 14, 1915 in Northport, Michigan, the daughter of Halbert & Ida May (Scott) Thomas. Agnes is one of three children and is the oldest and last surviving child. She grew up in Suttons Bay and spent many summers in Florida with her parents. Agnes graduated from Ferris College’s secretarial course and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University in Business Education and her Master’s degree from University of Michigan. She taught business classes for 30 years in Michigan, and retired from Howell High School. She was a member of Howell United Methodist Church and helped raise funds for their new building. Agnes was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Retired Teachers Association, Livingston County Retired School Employees, Michigan Education Association, and National Education Association. After retirement, she wrote a weekly article for the Howell paper. Agnes loved to listen to talking books and appreciated the people from the Chelsea District Library who brought those to her.
