Mary Elizabeth “Betty” DeRouchie
of Jackson, Michigan, formerly of Dearborn, age 88, went to be with her Lord Thursday, February 22, 2018 while living at her daughter’s home. She was born March 23, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of John & Cecelia (Hanratty) Dillon. Betty attended Immanuel Bible Church in Chelsea. She stayed home to raise her children, but also worked as a cook in the Dearborn Schools.
On January 11, 1947, she married Donald DeRouchie in Detroit, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 2005. Survivors include five children, David (Bonnie) DeRouchie of Philipi, WV, Michael (Carolyn) DeRouchie of Monroe, Ken DeRouchie of Portland, OR, Linda (David) Parham of Jackson, Donna DeRouchie of Gregory; a daughter-in-law, Angie DeRoucie; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

of Ovid, MI, formerly of Chelsea & Owosso, age 82, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Ovid Healthcare Center in Ovid, Michigan. She was born August 3, 1935 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and Fannie (Mawby) Rykert.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan, formerly of Southfield, Michigan, age 49, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at his home. He was born November 2, 1968 in Livonia, Michigan, the son of Harold L. & Susan C. (Wilson) Mullens. Michael graduated from Southfield High School in 1986. He served in the US Army. Michael worked at entertainment clubs, doing everything from security to management. He was a body builder, going to Gold Gym in Kalamazoo often. Michael enjoyed his time with friends.
Jane Cornelia Blackman Korth passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 in Chelsea, Michigan at the age of 88. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Jane was born on November 16, 1929 in Bridgeton, New Jersey, the daughter of Paul and May (Smith) Blackman. She grew up and attended high school in Alexandria, Virginia. After receiving a B.A. degree from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia, she worked as a secretary at the Pentagon. Jane married Merrill Walter Korth in 1955 and they shared 58 wonderful years together. Before retiring in 1989, she worked at Johnson Controls in Manchester, Michigan for ten years. Jane was an avid walker, an enthusiastic reader and a lover of puzzles. She was fond of camping and enjoyed being surrounded by nature. Jane was a proud member of Manchester United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Shakespeare Reading Club. She helped create and maintain the tranquil meditation/memorial garden at Manchester United Methodist Church and her ashes will be placed there beside the ashes of her devoted husband, Merrill.
