Kaesen Zander Elliott
Kaesen gained his angel wings on the night of Christmas 2023. He was born on December 1, 2018 to his loving parents Shawndra Mundinger and Ronnie L. Elliott. In just 5 short years he touched many lives. He made us laugh with his silliness, cheer when he mastered a new task, and cry our eyes out with his passing. Ralph Lee Wurster

Age 99, died Thursday, January 4, 2024. She was born February 22, 1924, in Oscar, Kentucky, the daughter of Paul F. and Florence G. (Boyd) Denton.
Polly graduated from Dexter High School in 1942, and Detroit Business School Institute in 1943. She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Ann Arbor for seventy years. She worked as a secretary for University of Michigan Hospital, Grace Bible Church, and Ann Arbor Pool Builders.
Marcos Paulo Demelo
of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Hoboken, New Jersey, age 75, died peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at University of Michigan Hospital. He was born July 30, 1948 in Ipojuca, Brazil, the son of Maria Jose Demelo.Robert Douglas (Doug) Race
passed away at 93 on January 3, 2024 at his home in Chelsea, Michigan. He was husband to Thressa Race for over 70 years, a mentor to many, and at the center of accomplished family of sons, daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His family, friends and colleagues will miss Doug’s dry sense of humor and sage advice.
Accomplishments
Doug mentored thousands of students and athletes in his career at Jackson Community College (JCC) (1966-92), Farmington High School (1954-65), and Saline High School (1953-54). He loved football both as a player and a coach. Doug was an offensive guard on Grand Rapids Central’s 1947 state championship football team and later played for Grand Rapids Community College. He coached football in Saline and later was the head coach in Farmington before moving to Jackson to coach community college track, teach, and be the academic advisor for athletes. While in Jackson, he assisted Dave Driscoll at Jackson Parkside High School the offensive line coach and team scout.
