Age 77, died suddenly Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at her home in Ann Arbor. She was born March 31, 1935 in Howell, the daughter of James “Frank” & Thelma (Hecox) Burke.
Marjorie was a graduate of Ann Arbor High School. She retired as a phlebotomist after 27 years, from St. Joseph Hospital. Marjorie loved animals, enjoyed playing cards, bowling and was an avid Longaberger Basket collector. She loved t
o visit with family and friends. Marjorie was extremely proud of her grandsons, and great granddaughter.
Survivors include two children, Randy (Janet) Rosentreter of Chelsea, and Cindy (Bill) Seets of Clinton; their father Albert Rosentreter of Chelsea; 3 grandsons, Joel (Evelyn) Rosentreter, Kevin Rosentreter, Tim Rosentreter; a great granddaughter, Savanah Rosentreter; her aunt, Lois Hecox; a nephew and several nieces and cousins, along with many friends. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gordon Burke.
A memorial service was held Monday, March 4, 2013, at 11:00am at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, MI with Pastor Joe Jeffreys officiating. A private burial will be held at Sanford Cemetery, Cohoctah, Michigan at a later date. The family received friends Sunday from 2-6pm. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
