Sheila Ruth Joseph Ann Arbor, Michigan, age 88, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Trinity Health Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born July 24, 1938, the daughter of Earl Edwin & Ruth Marie (Striewski) Wineman.
Sheila graduated from Garden City High School and worked in the flower shop at the Kroger’s on Eisenhour Rd. in Ann Arbor. She was a member of Northridge Church in Saline and Plymouth. Sheila enjoyed parking cars for the U of M Football games and traveling with the Ann Arbor Senior Group. Sheila’s yard always looked amazing. She loved gardening and used to sew a lot.
Sheila married Kenneth Allen Joseph Sr. on May 22, 1993. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Diane O’Dell; sister, Lynn White; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn.
A private graveside service was held at Oak Grove East Cemetery in Chelsea. Memorial contributions may be made to NorthRidge Church, 49555 North Territorial Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170.
