Of Chelsea, Michigan, went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 73, on Sunday, September 6, 2026, surrounded by his family in his home in Chelsea. The family would like to thank Arbor Hospice staff for the care they gave him. He was born December 6, 1952, in Gladwin, Michigan, the son of Cyrus York & Megan (Meyer) AtLee.
After graduating as Valedictorian from Gladwin High School class of 1971, Cy earned his BA in electrical engineering from U of M. He spent his entire career working at various companies in the plastics production industry. Most recently, Cy worked at Bekum America, where he was appreciated and supported.
Cy was known for his sense of humor and wit; his love for his family and friends; and his dedication to the Lord. He spent 47 years managing audio and visual needs at Chelsea Free Methodist Church (New Harvest), a lifelong passion. Cy loved spending time with his grandchildren and had a great enthusiasm for the outdoors and hunting. He enjoyed using his knowledge to teach and assist others and was pleased to continue this until the very end.
Cy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rowena (Beebe) AtLee; his sons Brian (Rebecca) AtLee and Aaron (Kate) Dunigan AtLee; his daughter Sarah (Wesley) Saulsbury; 11 grandchildren; and his sister Susan AtLee. He leaves to join his parents; his son, Jason AtLee; his granddaughters, Tatum Lynn Baille and Miriam Rose AtLee; and his sisters Kathy Thelig and Mary AtLee.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 11, 11:00 am at New Harvest Church, with Pastor Mark Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove East Cemetery in Chelsea. The family will receive friends at Cole Funeral Chapel Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and at the church Friday from 10-11 am. Memorial contributions may be made to New Harvest Church or Arbor Hospice.
