Linda Lou Ware Cannon, born on November 28, 1939, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 20, 2026, following a sudden illness in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She had been visiting her beloved sister, family, and friends. Linda was born in Greeneville, Tennessee, to Walter and Florine Ware and had made Simpsonville, South Carolina, her home for more than 50 years.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Donald Dewitt Cannon. She is survived by her sons, Marcus (Connie) Cannon of Greer, SC, and Craig Cannon of Hiram, Georgia. She was the proud grandmother of Megan (Casey), Austin (Lauren), Courtnie (Connor), Vanessa (Hunter), Hailey, and Andrew and great-grandmother to Jace (Anna), Jacks, Janie, Calvin, Addilynn, Julian, and Chadley. She spoke with her sister, Hilda "Gale" Ware Neil (Art), several times daily by phone and visited as often as possible with them and their sons, Scott and Chris (Tonya).
Linda had a very generous heart and spirit, giving of herself and her talents freely. She invested much time and interest the last 15 years helping extended family, Christie, Ethan (sister and nephew of Marcus and Connie) and their family. She loved her church family and friends deeply and enjoyed volunteering and spending time with Marcia, Sharon, Peggy, and many other wonderful friends.
