We send our sincere sympathy to the Family .
Dave is the reason Mike is a part of the Washtenaw Honor Guards. We met Dave and his lovely wife at the Coney Island in Chelsea, and he came to our table with that wonderful smile and asked if Mike would be interested in joining the Honor Guards , as Mike was proudly wearing his Vietnam Vet ball cap.
Thank You God for giving us all Dave. .Mike & Joyce

David Royer was a concerned gentleman for others and his participation in the Veterans Honor Guard of Washtenaw County. He performed every position within the unit. He was always upbeat and spiritually based. He was proud of his military service, always friendly and focused when it was time to do his part of a service. He started the doing the narration portion of our services from memory and that took our services to a higher level of salute to the deceased Veteran. He put his heart into the unit and will be missed. He was a fine gentleman. pd4skRIP Soldier

I knew Dave from the honor guard. I stood next to him many times. I remember his humor and his love for the country. I also remember he had the historical reading memorized. God bless home and family.
