Obituaries

Bonnie Swaim Clark of Pinckney, Michigan, age 83, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital. She was born August 6, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Harvey Willis and Ruby Geraldine (Miller) Swaim.

Bonnie graduated from Howell High School in 1960. She worked different jobs over the years, but most recently, was an Administrative Assistant for 3M. Bonnie was a member of the Community Congregational United Church of Christ in Pinckney. She enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S., crafting, card making, and quilting. She collected recipes and liked to bake as well. Friendships were important to Bonnie. She had many friends and met with a group from high school every Monday. Bonnie was a kindhearted and loving person. She was a wonderful wife, sister, sister-in-law, and daughter-in-law.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 41 years, Gary Clark; her brother, John (Dawn) Swaim of Boyne City; sister, Sharon Wood of Perry; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Bonnie’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the 6th floor ICU units at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital for their kindness and care.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, 11 a.m. at the Community Congregational United Church of Christ, 125 E. Unadilla St., Pinckney, MI 48169. The family will receive friends before the service from 10 - 11 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Community Congregational UCC.

I loved working with Bonnie at Sarns then 3M. What I remember most is that she was always smiling and made everyone around her laugh. My condolences to Gary and the entire family.

Bonnie was a cherished part of Pinckney Community Congregational Church of Christ. She will be missed by many. Bonnie was an active member of Community Fellowship at the church as well as we sang in the choir together a few years. Prayers to the Family and Friends of Bonnie! My the fond Memories everyone has of Bonnie bring them comfort.

Bonnie had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed and cared for. She had a wonderful sense of humor and treated our family with respect. I will miss her smile and humor. God bless.
