of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Ann Arbor, Michigan, age 95, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, at Silver Maples Retirement Neighborhood. She was born May 25, 1929, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of William and Edith (Ford) Bergren.
She was married to John “Fred” Griffith for 71 years before he preceded her in death on April 8, 2020. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Terry) Hurst of Dexter; granddaughters Julie Hurst of San Diego and Laurie Corcoran (William) of Brunswick, GA; great-grandchildren Dexter and Max Corcoran.
Bonnie grew up in Ann Arbor and graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1947. She worked various secretarial and bookkeeping jobs throughout her life, retiring from the Organ Procurement Agency of Michigan (now known as “Gift of Life”).
Bonnie loved animals, plants, hugs, ice cream, her friends, her family, golfing, bowling, laughing, hamburgers, the sunshine, dancing and singing first thing in the morning, watching Jeopardy, the Red Wings, Michigan Wolverines, listening to happy music, nuts, playing cards (Bridge, Euchre), her home on Dexter-Ann Arbor Road and so much more (and probably not in that order)!
A private memorial will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Huron Valley in Ann Arbor.
