of Chelsea, MI, age 66, died Monday, October 30, 2023, at home. She was born January 21, 1957, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Cecil Edward and Nelly Maree (Atkinson) Cobb.
Kathy graduated from Chelsea high school in 1976. She worked at Chelsea Hospital for 43 years. During that time she worked as a pharmacy tech, and as a surgery coordinator at the Woman’s Health Center. Katherine really enjoyed camping, traveling, and U of M football.
Katherine married Duane Quinn on September 13, 1997, in Chelsea, and he survives. She is also survived by her son, Phillip (Angela) Quinn; brothers, Daniel (Christine) Cobb, Kenneth (Carla) Cobb, Richard (Linda) Cobb; sisters, Lynda Cobb, Susan McCalla, Marilyn (Andrew) Weir; three grandchildren, Kacey, Kiri, and Kameron; many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly; and the children of her heart, Madelynne and Kimberley. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Kenneth McCalla.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, 11:00 am, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea, with the V. Rev. Dr. William J. Canon Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Chelsea. The family will receive friends at Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea, Thursday, November 2, from 2-4 and 6-9 pm (with a vigil service at 8:00 pm), and at the church Friday, from 10-11 am. I remember all the extra help she gave us in Central Supply, unloading cases of IV'S when it was not her job.
She was always so hardworking and such a caring person.
