Norma Seyfriedof Jackson, Michigan, formerly of Ann Arbor and Chelsea, age 88, died Friday, September 22, 2023 at Trellis Gardens Assisted Living in Jackson, Michigan. She was born March 7, 1935 in Ann Arbor, the daughter of Ernest F and Anna Veronica (Burton) Sell.
 
Norma graduated from St. Thomas High in 1953. She went to nursing school and worked as a registered nurse until her oldest son was born. Norma was a member of the Lima Study Group since 1982 and was a member of the F.C.E. where she enjoyed the companionship of the group. She enjoyed bingo, camping, canning, reading, swimming, and traveling south to Texas in the winter with her husband Richard.
 
On June 8, 1957, she married Richard Allen Seyfried at St. Thomas in Ann Arbor, and he preceded her in death on January 17, 2017. Survivors include four sons, Mark (Alice), Mike (Char), David (Kim), John (Connie); a daughter, Peggy (Steve) Fullerton; 20 grandchildren, Andy, Justin, Lindsey, Shannon, Sara, Mike K, Mike C, Kim, Rich, Chrissy, Adam, Tiffany, Audriana, Amanda, Charlie, Natasha, Courtney, Brent, Dustey, Stephanie; 19 great-grandchildren, Natalie, Irelynn, Brook, Chase, Luke, Jessica, Caleb, Grace, Emily, Joe, Collin, Heather, Cooper, Levi, Hunter, Jayla, Cody, Clinton, Andy Jr.; great-great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Layne, McKinley, and Rosalie; and her brother, Charles (Wilma) Sell. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
 
The Funeral Mass was held Thursday, Sept. 28, 11:00 am, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea, with the V. Rev. Dr. William J. Canon Turner officiating.  Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Chelsea. The family received friends at Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea on Wednesday from 4-8 pm and at the church Thursday from 10-11 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Louis Center, 16195 W Old US 12, Chelsea, MI 48118.

Oh, Peggy. & Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your mom and grandmother. I know it’s hard, but it’s good to think that she is at peace and her work here is done. May the Lord bless you and give you peace and comfort during this trying time.
