age 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in Chelsea, Michigan. Born in Chelsea on October 2, 1927 to Earl and Cora (Hoover) Bauer, one of 11 children. She retired from Holiday Inn - Westbank in Ann Arbor in 1992. Jean resided in Adrian, Michigan for 23 years before moving back to Chelsea. Her unyielding love touched many. It was the simple things around her in life that she never took for granted, commenting daily how fortunate and thankful she was. Above all, Jean was absolutely devoted to her family. She was a woman of strong faith, believing in the strength of Jesus Christ’s grace and the beauty and peace that would await her.


Survived by her children, Madonna (David) Freysinger-Lubs of Austin, TX, Ella Mae (Al) Ruthenberg of Chelsea, Guy Freysinger of Brooklyn, Terry (Jim) Rogers of Tecumseh, Alena (Brad) Henry of Lansing; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, Casey, Monica, and Tatum Ruthenberg; Jason, Amber, and Tucker Rogers; Joshua, Heather, Gabrielle, and Violet Freysinger; Andrew, Kristen, and Ruby Rogers; Jessica and Chad Bailey; Solomon, Jessica, and Palmer Lubs; Kayla Henry and Isaac Henry; Don, Jennifer, Ellie, and Mitchell Beck.


A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Healing thoughts.....
In Life I loved you dearly, In death I love you still. In my heart you hold a place that no one else can fill. It broke my heart to loose you,but you didn't go alone. For part of my went with you,the day God took you home.

My thought and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow.
