Thomas Nash Coy

Age 80, died Thursday, June 13, 2019 in Chelsea, Michigan. He was born January 24, 1939 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Ashley Chauncey & Josephine (Nash) Coy.   Tom graduated from Dexter High School in 1957. He was an MP in the Army from 1962-64. Tom worked at Ann Arbor Implement in the 1960's, and on the Dexter Fire Department. He owned “Coy Landscaping”, and did small engine repair. Tom was a former member of the American Legion. He enjoyed Karaoke at the Wolverine and Inverness Inn. Tom loved NASCAR racing, and camping in the infield.

Marie A. (Magin) Dault

of Grass Lake, MI, age 95, went to be with her Lord Monday, June 3, 2019 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. Marie Agnes Magin was born November 25, 1923 to Richard Henry and Francis Claire (Kwiatkowski) Magin in Alpena, Michigan. She attended St. Mary Catholic School, and graduated from Alpena High School. She was employed by Alpena Power Company.

On October 18, 1945 Marie married Christopher Edward Dault at St. Mary Catholic Church in Alpena. They moved to Flagstaff Arizona in 1946 where they had six sons.  They moved back to the Greenbush, Michigan area where they had their final son. Marie assisted Ed’s carpentry business by keeping books and doing administrative tasks. In 1976 they returned to the Alpena and Grand Lake area. After Ed’s death in 2005, Marie moved to the Chelsea, Michigan area.

Patricia Jane Burnett

of Chelsea, Michigan, age 93, died Sunday, May 19, 2019 at her home. She was born March 18, 1926 in Massillon, Ohio, the daughter of Howard & Kathryn (Glosser) Hollinger.  Pat was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Dexter, where she was a member of the Altar Guild and Vestry. She was an elementary teacher in Hillsdale & Portage. Pat volunteered at the Red Cross blood drives, Faith in Action, and was the hospital lay chaplain for many years.  She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, rug hooking, and Spartan sports and The Tigers!

Mark E. MacPherson

of Dexter, MI, formerly of Bad Axe, MI, age 61, died Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 26, 1957 in Port Huron, Michigan, the son of Kenneth & Helen MacPherson.  Mark was a licensed electrician, and was a member of IBEW Local 252. He was self-employed as a Systems Integrator since 2000. Mark was a member of the Ann Arbor Moose Lodge, the Dexter American Legion, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Betty Marie Bust

of Chelsea, MI, age 96, died Monday, May 20, 2019 at Silver Maples of Chelsea. She was born June 13, 1922 in Chelsea, Michigan, the daughter of George M. & Freda (Hartman) Seitz.  Betty was a graduate of the University of Michigan, a member of the AEO Sorority, a volunteer at the Chelsea Methodist Home, where she was known as “the cream puff lady”, and a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ, where she was a choir member for 60 years. She was an avid sports fan, especially college sports and the Tigers. Baking was her passion, and she gave away Danish pastry Christmas tree coffee cakes.

On May 10, 1947, she married Thomas Bust in Chelsea and he preceded her in death on July 17, 2010. Together they owned and operated the Chelsea Hardware for close to 30 years.  Survivors include two sons, David C. (Jean) Bust of Chelsea, and Jeffry D. (Mary) Bust of Frankfort, IL;  3 grandchildren, Grayson, Lauren, and Alex Bust; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Raymond Seitz; and sister, Oleta M. Mayer.
