Norman Charles Houk

of Chelsea, Michigan, age 90, died Friday, October 18, 2019 at Chelsea Retirement Community. He was born February 9, 1929 in Chelsea, Michigan, the son of Fred Herman & Lillie Louise (Krepps) Houk.
  Norman worked for the Chrysler Proving Grounds as a heavy equipment operator. He was a charter member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, former member of Ann Arbor St. Thomas Lutheran Church, N. Lake Methodist Church, and the Chelsea V.F.W. post.

Harvey L. Lentz

of Chelsea, Michigan, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 16, 2019.  He was born April 29, 1926, in Milan, Michigan, the son of Lester and Florence (Gruezke) Lentz.

Harvey graduated from Milan High School in 1944, and attended U of M.  He served in the US Army during WWII.  Harvey was a process engineer who worked at GM Hydromatic until his retirement in 1982.  He built several houses and drew plans for a subdivision that he lived in.  He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Chelsea.  Harvey was musical, playing the French Horn when he was young, and singing in the choir.   His hobbies included sailing, walking, and woodworking.  Most of all, he enjoyed staying home with his family and being at the cottage on Wamplers Lake.

Dorothy K. Green

of Kirkland, WA, formerly of Chelsea, MI, age 98, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Bethell Adult Family Home in Kirkland, Washington. She was born July 16, 1921 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Reginald Emery & Ethel (Hodge) Wright.  Dorothy  worked with her husband at Redford Electric Company.  Dorothy’s 98 years were filled with many travels and adventures with Bob. They shared their love of travel with their children. She attended St. Barnabas Church in Chelsea, and enjoyed the fellowships there. Dorothy’s greatest joy was sharing the love of her family; from endless hours of toddler playtimes to college graduations.  Dorothy’s endless kindnesses are treasures to us all.

Dolores Jean Buss

of Chelsea, MI, age 83, died Sunday, October 13, 2019 at her home. She was born March 19, 1936 in Norvell, Michigan, the daughter of Philip H. & Gladys G. (Pittman) Jones.  Dolores was confirmed at St. John United Church of Christ on Waters Road, and she attended Zion Lutheran Church.  Over the years she was employed at three different banks, Ann Arbor Bank and Trust, First of America in Manchester, and Lake Trust Credit Union in Chelsea.  Dolores was a member of Farm Bureau and Rogers Corner Extension.   She volunteered for the Red Cross.  Dolores enjoyed singing karaoke, square dancing, and walking. She also enjoyed spending time with her dog, Chase, as well as her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Paul Dennis "Denny" Howard

of Grass Lake, MI, age 66, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice after a short illness. He was born May 20, 1953 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of Paul and Ina “Pauline” (Horn) Howard.

Paul worked for Pilot Industries in Dexter.  He was a member of Page Avenue Baptist Church in Jackson, where he was baptized in 2010.  Paul enjoyed his large garden. He also loved camping, going to the zoo, and spending time with his adopted family.  He rode motorcycles when he was younger, and still loved motorcycles.
