I was saddened to learn just this morning, December 28, that Arnold has died. I would not have missed his memorial service had I known. Arnold was a good friend to many who shared one of his passions for machines and artifacts.
I hope that his memory will sustain Carol and Edward in their time of grief.

Arnold,
I'm going to miss you cousin, I'll miss hanging with you when I would come to visit in Michigan and we explore the area for antique cars, clocks and the deal making! Or, when you would come to visit me in Illinois and we would go hit the garage sales, flea markets and searching for your next car deal!

I'm going to miss you more than you'll ever know. Rest in peace Arnold,

Love,
Gordon

I had the great pleasure to meet Arnie back in the early 80's. He would bring me stained glass lamps and windows to repair as well as have me cut glass for his antique clocks. He would always have a great story to tell me when he visited. He also boasted on how proud he was of Edward.
My sincere condolences go to Carol and Edward.
You will be missed my friend, RIP

I met Arnold in the Summer of 1974 at his Victorian house in New Boston Michigan where I grew up (I was 16). He was re-roofing an old garage that he stored antique cars in. Driving by, his old cars drew my attention and I stopped to see them. He tried to shoo me away, but my young enthusiasm struck a chord in him and he generously showed off an amazing collection of clocks and antiques in a great old house. I was one of the few who actually bought items that Arnie had duplicates of and sold many items to him over the decades. His wit and depth of knowledge of Clocks was something I always will remember and will miss.

We will miss Arnold for many reasons but especially we will miss all the winter Sunday mornings when Arnold would show up for my Zucchini and Banana Nut Breads.

I loved Arnold. We were the last of the three generational friends. His grandmother and my grandmother, his mother and my mother, and Arnold and me. I remember going to his mother's house in Clear Lake and seeing all of his clocks. We remained friends through life. We had a great visit last year when he and Carol came to Florida. I am going to miss you, Arnold. All of our great talks, fun times, and visits. You and Carol were very important in our lives. Rest In Peace, my dear friend.

Arnold was my older cousin. I remember going downtown with my girlfriends in junior high and visiting him at Crowley's where he worked in watch repair. He was so kind to us and treated me like an adult which was a huge gift at 12.
I was always surprised at all his knowledge and life experience. His humble down home persona hid how smart and insightful he was.
I am grateful to have been his cousin.
