of Chelsea, MI, age 56, died Saturday, May 20, 2017 at his home. He was born November 27, 1960 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Ishmael & Mae (Bailey) Picklesimer.

Sam attended Chelsea High School, worked for Chelsea Milling, and went on to become a Journeyman plumber.  He worked for Chelsea Plumbing for close to 20 years.   Sam loved fishing and hunting, and he enjoyed watching football and the horse tracks.  Most of all, he liked spending time with his grandchildren.
 
Survivors include his son, Jeffrey Picklesimer; step-daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Grim; step-son, Michael (Emily) Toth; 6 grandchildren, Landyn Picklesimer, Conor, Morgan, & Madelyn Grim, Ava & Jack Toth; 5 siblings, Castle Jerry (Mary Ellen) Picklesimer, Linda (Gail) Shears, Rita  (Jim) Perry, Ishmael (Debra) Picklesimer Jr., James Picklesimer; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Sam is also survived by special friends, Connie White and Maria Andraya Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ted.
 
The family will receive friends at Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea on Thursday from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm, and Friday 10-11 am.  A funeral service will be held Friday, May 26, 11:00 am.  A private burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Chelsea.
