of Chelsea, Michigan. Age 76, died peacefully Monday, April 28, 2014 at his home with his family. He was born September 16, 1937 in Grindstone City, Michigan, the son of Clive & Leila (Phair) Weir.

Glenn graduated from Chelsea High School in 1956 then attended Central Michigan University. Glenn served in the US Army from 1960-1962. He worked for the Dana Corporation for 32 years. Later he worked at Hillside Terrace and Polly's and delivered the Ann Arbor News. Glenn was a member of the JC's, bowled for many years, and was a baseball/softball umpire for many years. Glenn taught Sunday School at Chelsea First United Methodist Church, then attended Immanuel Bible Church.   

On October 23, 1965, he married Joyce E. Andress in Ann Arbor, MI, and she survives.  Other survivors include four children, Tim (Marie) Weir of Michigan Center, Daniel Weir of Chelsea, Jennifer (Ryan) Hudson of Jackson, Amy (Matt) Majeske of Chelsea; a sister, Janice Roach of St. Charles, MO; 7 grandchildren, Geoffrey, Rileigh, Will, Ayden, Gauge, Morgan, and Madison; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley & Jack Weir; a sister, Shirley Liebeck; and an infant grandson, Caleb Weir.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 2, 11:00am at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Pastor Dominic Aquilino officiating.   The family received friends Thursday 3-5 pm & 7-9 pm.
