Of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Whitmore Lake and Dexter, age 66, died Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Arbor Hospice Residence. She was born April 21, 1947 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Frank W. & Lenore E. (Ackridge) Marble.

 Patricia graduated from Dexter High School in 1965.  She earned a Bachelors in Art at Michigan State University, and her Masters in Psychology at Eastern Michigan University.  Patricia was a practicing artist whose favorite medium was pottery.  She showed her pottery at the Ann Arbor Art Fair for several years.  Patricia worked as a psychologist with the State of Michigan Department of Corrections.  She loved gardening her whole life, and earned several ribbons for her dahlias at 4H Fairs as a girl.  Patricia was a member of Chelsea First United Methodist Church, and a volunteer at Faith in Action.


She married George Sproule, and he preceded her in death in 1989. She is survived by her brother, F. David (Laurie) Marble of Gaines, MI; her sister, Nancy M. (Randall) Collins of Harpers Ferry, WV; three nephews, Brian, Brandon and Jason Marble; and a niece, Jodi Marble.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Lynda and Susan Marble, and a brother, Robert Marble.

   Funeral services were held Saturday, March 22, 11:00 am at Chelsea First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Joy Barrett officiating.  Burial  followed at St. Andrews Cemetery, Dexter.  The family received friends Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Cole Funeral Chapel and Saturday from 10-11 am before the funeral.  Memorial contributions may be made to Chelsea Faith in Action, 603 S.
