of Chelsea, MI,  age 80, died Monday, December 9, 2013 at his home. He was born October 4, 1933 in Chelsea, the son of Clarence & Laura (Feldkamp) Buss.

LeRoy was confirmed at St. John United Church of Christ on Waters Road, and attended Zion Lutheran Church.  He was a dairy farmer all of his life.  LeRoy was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Tri-County Sportsmen.  He enjoyed square dancing and karaoke singing.

On April 7, 1956, he married Dolores Jones, and she survives.  Other survivors include a son, Darrin (Brenda) Buss of Chelsea; a daughter, Jeannie (Lewis) Gilbert of Chelsea; two sisters, Marion (Ray) Stockinger of Tecumseh and Doris (Ray) Alber of Jackson;  a brother, Richard Buss; 4 grandchildren, Samantha & Steven Buss, Mark & Amy Gilbert; a great-grandson, Parker Early; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Gladys Hines; a nephew, Mike Alber; and brother-in-law, Vergil Hines.

A memorial service was held Saturday, December 14, 1:00 pm at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea with Pastors Stanley Eckermann and John Morris officiating.  Burial took place at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Freedom Township. The family received friends Friday from 1-4 & 6-9 pm.
