of Chelsea, MI, formerly of Dexter, age 77, died Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the University of Michigan Hospital. He was born April 22, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Forrest & Ruth (Condon) Becker.

Forrest Becker IIForrest graduated from Pioneer High School and Cleary Collage.  He was an Analyst for Ford for 35 years in Saline and Dearborn. Forrest had been a Youth League baseball coach when his boys were young.  He never missed one of his kid’s sporting events.  Forrest loved to fish, hunt, and being outdoors at his cottage up North.  In the 1950's he served in the Army.  Forrest was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.  He was well-read, and was a contemplative man.  Forrest was a loving husband and father.

On November 5, 1965 he married Elizabeth Ann Swiecicki in Ann Arbor, and she survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Julie (James) Gregory of Chelsea; three sons, Paul Becker of Cadillac, Mark (Jennifer) Becker of Pinckney, Forrest Becker III of Chelsea; a sister, Sally Jo (Dick) Barth of Evart; five grandchildren, Hayden, Gabby, Katie, James, and Samantha. 

A Funeral Mass was held Friday, October 4, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chelsea, with Rev. Dr. William J. Turner officiating.  Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Chelsea. The family received friends at Cole Funeral Chapel, Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Trout Unlimited, PO Box 442, Dewitt, MI  48820 or St. Mary Catholic Church, 14200 Old US 12, Chelsea, MI 48118.
