Sally M. Proctor

Of Chelsea, Michigan, age 86, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at her home. She was born February 9, 1938, in Chelsea, Michigan, the daughter of Robert A. & Jeannette E. (Corbiel) Wheeler.

Sally graduated from Dexter High School in 1956, and attended Cleary College. She worked for the Chelsea School District, starting as a bus driver, then as a secretary at North Elementary School, and eventually as Transportation Supervisor. Sally was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea. She enjoyed sports and spent a lot of time attending Chelsea sporting events. She also enjoyed cooking, and golfing at Inverness.

Deborah Brooks

It is with great sadness and a broken heart that I have to announce the passing of my beloved wife, Deborah Lynn (Chie) Brooks. After a sudden but brief illness, Deborah went home to her Lord and Savior. Born March 5, 1954, passed into Heaven April 22, 2024. Deborah worked many years at the Ford Rawsonville Plant, retiring in 1999. Deborah loved all kinds of animals, but especially her horse Prince and numerous cats and dogs.

George Renton

George Alexander Renton formerly of Belleville, Good Hart, and Harbor Springs, Michigan, passed away at the age of 103 on April 25, 2024.

George was born to George Stewart Renton and Donna Bell (Leonard) Renton on February 8, 1921. He was raised in Belleville and graduated from Belleville High School in 1939. After graduation he attended the Henry Ford Apprentice School in the Tool and Die department. George joined the Air Force on October 3, 1942. He served in the 9th Air Force in the European Theater until he was discharged on November 12, 1945.

Daniel Raymond Milliken

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Raymond Milliken (Dan), a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Dan departed this life on March 5, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and cherished memories.

Dan’s love for the great outdoors wasn’t just a hobby but his lifeblood. From the shores of the Caribbean islands to long lining in Alaska with his brother and best friend to the serene lakeshores of Michigan, he found solace and joy in Mother Nature's embrace. His love for the wilderness was a way of life, shaping his character and nurturing his soul.

Dan’s dedication to living authentically and in harmony with the natural world was unparalleled. His passion for pure living was evident in every aspect of his being, from his commitment to sustainable practices to his unwavering respect for all living creatures.

Loretta Eder

Lifetime resident of Chelsea, Michigan

Age 95, died Friday April 26, 2024 at the Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born April 1, 1929 in Chelsea, Michigan, the daughter of G. Alfred & Rose M. (Moeckel) Lindauer. Loretta graduated from Cleary College with a diploma in bookkeeping. She worked in finance for Chelsea Hospital, and did the bookkeeping for her husband’s business. After retiring, she volunteered at Chelsea Community Hospital. Loretta was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea. She enjoyed working outside in the flowers, playing cards, and time with family and friends.
