Obituaries

It is with great sadness and a broken heart that I have to announce the passing of my beloved wife, Deborah Lynn (Chie) Brooks. After a sudden but brief illness, Deborah went home to her Lord and Savior. Born March 5, 1954, passed into Heaven April 22, 2024. Deborah worked many years at the Ford Rawsonville Plant, retiring in 1999. Deborah loved all kinds of animals, but especially her horse Prince and numerous cats and dogs.

She asked for no funeral, but a Celebration of Life will be planned at a future date. Cremation has taken place, and her final resting place will be Washtenong Memorial Park. She is survived by her husband, James, her siblings, brother Bill (Sharon) Chie; sister Tammy (Chie) Kirk and numerous cousins, and nephews.

Oh Deborah my beautiful sister. You meant everything to me. How can it be that you’re gone? Life will never be the same without you. You touched so many lives and were so loved by many. I am proud that I got to call you my sister and my friend. You had a kind and giving heart. I will miss you forever. I love you more than you can ever know. RIP my beautiful sister you were an incredible and amazing person. Love you forever.

Deb and I worked together at Varsity Ford. We were the only 2 females out of 10 drivers. We delivered vehicles to Mount Airy South Carolina, Chicago Illinois, and Nashville Tennessee. Outside of work we tried using our “senior moment minds) playing Trivia. We were no competition for the rest of the younger participants . Although once a while we were the only team to get the right answer. Not bad for 2 old ladies. Deb and I enjoyed musicals and so went to Turkeyville in Marshall Michigan enjoying a turkey dinner along with watching a Christmas play. Love to my friend Deb
