Of Jackson, Michigan, age 56, died Tuesday, November 24, 2020, in Jackson. He was born February 27, 1964, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Claude J. Gipson and Mary Jo (Apel) Boyer.

Mike graduated from Chelsea High School in 1982, and worked at Terumo from 1988 until the time of his death. Mike enjoyed bowling at Chelsea Lanes and was an avid Playstation gamer.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Kristy Gipson of Jackson, and her mom, Kathy Gipson of Jackson; his mother, Mary Jo Boyer of Grass Lake; brother, David (Mary) Gipson of Grass Lake; nephew, Jon Gipson; niece, Jamie (Kyle) Wolf; and grand-nephew, Lukas Wolf. He was preceded in death by his father.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020, 1:30 PM at Maple Grove Cemetery in Sylvan Center. The family will receive friends at Cole Funeral Chapel on Saturday, November 28, 2020. Due to Covid restrictions, please call 475-1551 to schedule a time to greet the family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674. Arrangements by Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea.

We haven’t seen Michael in years but he always had a special place in our hearts. Whether it was in Cub Scouts, bowling, or watching him play baseball he always did his best. Our condolences to his family.
