Marilyn Ann Daoust of Chelsea, Michigan; formerly of Seattle, WA; Illinois, Indiana; and Plymouth, MI, age 86, died Monday, September 14, 2020 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born December 3, 1933 in Sterling, Illinois, the daughter of Elbert & Effie May (Dickey) Regan.

Marilyn was a member at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chelsea. She was a secretary in Plymouth for 5 years and then stayed home with her 5 children. She loved having family and friends at their Chelsea home where all were greeted with open arms, enjoying cook outs, swimming, hanging out on the deck and sleepovers. Marilyn had a very special way of making sure that those close to her were loved unconditionally. She also enjoyed crocheting and watching the Detroit Tigers on TV.

In November 1960, she married Paul Daoust in Plymouth, and he survives. She is also survived by two sons, John (Jennifer) Flynn of Livonia, Paul F. Daoust of Lincoln Park; three daughters, Colleen (Edwin) Hettinger of Portage, Mary Pederson of Oxford, Kelly (Chris) Decerbo of Rustin, LA; two sisters, Marlene Harvey of Chelsea, Mary Regan of Sterling, IL; a brother, Tim Regan of Sterling, IL; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandchild.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 21, 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea, with the V. Rev. Dr. William J. Canon Turner officiating. Immediately following, burial will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Chelsea. Arrangements by Cole Funeral Chapel.
