of Chelsea, Michigan, age 70, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at his home due to natural causes. He was born May 19, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Walter William & Julia Irene (Barefield) Lawson. Earnie attended Wayne Memorial High School, then served in the US Army during the Viet Nam war from June 1968 to June 1971. He worked as an independent carpet installer. Earnie loved fishing and was often seen riding his scooter around Chelsea in the last few years.
Survivors include his brothers, Wendell (Cindy) of Manchester, Wayne (Debbie) of Lima, OH, Ronnie (Debbie) of Marquette, and Donald (Pamela) of Belleville; three daughters, Julia Lawson of Garden City, Jamie Lawson of Westland, and Amy Martin of Ohio; two sons, Jacob and Adam, both of West Bloomfield; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Duane.A private visitation will be held at Cole Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 29th.
