of Whitmore Lake, MI, formerly of Chelsea and Tecumseh, age 92, died Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Caretel Inn in Brighton. He was born January 24, 1928 in Carver, Kentucky, the son of Cecil & Alice (Fletcher) Salyer.
On July 3, 1948, he married Joyce Fletcher in Magoffin County, KY, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 12, 2013. Survivors include his two daughters, Linda (Carl) Foster of Brighton, Dr. Patricia (Kevin) DeVoy of Whitmore Lake; 3 grandchildren, Tammy (David III) Goodman, Alissa (Scott) Stewart, and Thomas Lawrence DeVoy; 4 great-grandchildren, Karalyn Goodman, David Goodman IV, Caleb Stewart and Lydia Stewart; a brother, Luther Salyer; and 3 sisters, Mary Lou Rocha, Delma Sue Dixon, and Leveda Yost. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters.
A private graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Chelsea. Arrangements were entrusted to Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea.

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your father. He lived a long life and for that you can be thankful. I hope you and your family are well. I am so glad I was able to see you at the class reunion last summer. Take care and God Bless.
