of Jackson, MI, formerly of Chelsea, MI, age 81, died Sunday, October 20, 2019 at her home in Jackson. She was born March 10, 1938 in Washington DC, the daughter of Russell & Beulah (Schlotman) Maryott.

 La Vonne was a member of the Community of Christ in Ann Arbor. She was a piano and organ teacher for many years, and was a member of the Ann Arbor Piano Teachers Guild. La Vonne was also a member of Modern Mothers in Chelsea.    

On August 17, 1958, she married Ronald Harris in Walthill Nebraska, and he survives. Other survivors include two sons, Randall Harris of Chelsea, Russell (Sharon) Harris of Jackson; two grandchildren, Randy (Brittney) White, E.J. (Melinda) White; 3 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Alex, Ethen; two sisters-in law, Joyce Maryott, and Mildred Maryott; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gene, John and Harold Maryott.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 24, 2:00 pm at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Seventy John Jones officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove East Cemetery, Chelsea.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from Noon - 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to her family or the Community of Christ Church, 520 W Jefferson St, Ann Arbor, MI 48103.
