age 32, died Saturday, December 24, 2011 in a single car accident due to icy roads. He was born October 17, 1979 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Norval Ray & Rebecca (Litke) Menge.


Nathan lived in Chelsea all of his life.  He was a loving father to his two girls, who were the highlight of his life.  He graduated from Chelsea HS in 1998.  Nathan loved to hunt and was an accomplished carpenter.


Survivors include his mother & step-father, Rebecca “Becky” & John Chamberlin of Chelsea; two children, Shelby Rose & Natelie Ann Menge; a sister, Elizabeth (Chad) Prophitt of Ann Arbor; step-sisters, Chloe Chamberlin of Atlanta, GA and Courtney Chamberlin of Greenwich, CT; a step-brother, Nathan Chamberlin of St. Joseph, MI; his grandfather, Norval Menge of Rock, MI; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father, Norval Ray Menge; his grandmother, Elisabeth Menge, and his maternal grandparents, Harold and Loraine Litke.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, December 28, 11:00 a.m. at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Rev. Georgie Dack officiating.  Burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery at a later date. The family received friends Tuesday 5-9 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for his daughters.
