of Chelsea, Michigan, age 90, died Friday, October 18, 2019 at Chelsea Retirement Community. He was born February 9, 1929 in Chelsea, Michigan, the son of Fred Herman & Lillie Louise (Krepps) Houk.
  Norman worked for the Chrysler Proving Grounds as a heavy equipment operator. He was a charter member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, former member of Ann Arbor St. Thomas Lutheran Church, N. Lake Methodist Church, and the Chelsea V.F.W. post.


   On January 9, 1954, he married Delores Carol Zahn at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, and she survives.  Other survivors include two children, Edith Anne (Thomas) Dehn of Gregory, Douglas (Cheryl) Houk of Chelsea; daughter-in-law Bernice; 9 grandchildren, Heather, Gretchen, William and Fred Dehn, Thomas, David and James Houk, Kelly Houk and Jennifer Annarino; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel in 1990.


   Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 22, 1:00 pm  at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Chelsea, with Rev. Daniel Pezzica officiating.  Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Chelsea.  The family will receive friends at Cole Funeral Chapel Monday 2-4 & 6-8 pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church piano / organ fund.
