of Kirkland, WA, formerly of Chelsea, MI, age 98, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Bethell Adult Family Home in Kirkland, Washington. She was born July 16, 1921 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Reginald Emery & Ethel (Hodge) Wright.  Dorothy  worked with her husband at Redford Electric Company.  Dorothy’s 98 years were filled with many travels and adventures with Bob. They shared their love of travel with their children. She attended St. Barnabas Church in Chelsea, and enjoyed the fellowships there. Dorothy’s greatest joy was sharing the love of her family; from endless hours of toddler playtimes to college graduations.  Dorothy’s endless kindnesses are treasures to us all.

On March 8, 1944, she married Robert Frantz Green in Detroit, Michigan and he preceded her in death on April 6, 1994. Survivors include one son, Robert F. (Kathy) Green, Jr. of Ann Arbor; two daughters, Nancy (Ralph) Green-Crawford of Coupeville, WA, Susan (Peter) Lee of Kirkland, WA; five grandchildren, Stephanie & Jeff Green, Laurel & Sarah Green-Crawford, and  Harrison Lee; 2 great-grandchildren, Elena and Lillian Silber; and many nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Wright.

A graveside service will be held at Parkview Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan in the Spring.  Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea.
