of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Shelby Township, age 77, died Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born May 3, 1942 in Ishpeming, Michigan, the daughter of Ero & Ellen (Strom) Luostari.
   Kay graduated from Ishpeming High School, and then earned her Bachelor's degree from Oakland University.  She was primarily a homemaker who enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was active in Flight 255 Memorial Activities after her husband's death.

   In  1960, she married Patrick A. Gleason, and he preceded her in death on August 16, 1987. Survivors include two sons, Chris (Jill) Gleason of Brighton, Mike (Peggy) Gleason of Rochester Township; 4 grandchildren, Patrick, Ellen, Nora, Mike; a sister, Karen (Rick) Trestian of AZ; and two nephews, David & Doug.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Ken Luostari.
   A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 11, 10:30 am  with Rev. Tina Zimmerman officiating.  Burial will be at Ishpeming City Cemetery in Ishpeming, Michigan.  Arrangements were entrusted to Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea.
