of Chelsea, Michigan, age 93, died Sunday, May 19, 2019 at her home. She was born March 18, 1926 in Massillon, Ohio, the daughter of Howard & Kathryn (Glosser) Hollinger. Pat was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Dexter, where she was a member of the Altar Guild and Vestry. She was an elementary teacher in Hillsdale & Portage. Pat volunteered at the Red Cross blood drives, Faith in Action, and was the hospital lay chaplain for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, rug hooking, and Spartan sports and The Tigers!
Pat was preceded by her loving husband of 65 years, Jim Burnett on April 5, 2014 and her oldest son, James of Chicago, IL on December 22, 2018. Pat is lovingly survived by son Michael of Kalamazoo, MI; daughter, Susan Hudson of Greenville, MI; 8 grandchildren and their spouses, 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Hal Hollinger and sister, Judith Thibaudeau.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 31, 1:00 pm at St. James Episcopal Church in Dexter, with Rev. Nikki Seger officiating. A private burial will be held at the Webster Church Cemetery in Dexter. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 3279 Broad St, Dexter, MI 48130. Arrangements were handled by Cole Funeral Chapel.
