of Ann Arbor, MI, age 84, died Thursday, May 16, 2019 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Chelsea. He was born April 21, 1935 in Porter Township, Pennsylvania, the son of Russell R. & Margaret A. (Van Allen) Forringer. Paul lived in Clarion, PA and Westport, CT before moving to Ann Arbor, MI. Paul was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ann Arbor. He volunteered for the Alzheimer’s Association. Paul was an avid gardener.
He married Janet Louise Boor in Clarion, PA on August 8, 1959 and she preceded him in death on April 26, 2004. He is survived by his long-time partner, JoAnne Diehl. Other survivors include a son, Carter Forringer of Austin, TX; a daughter, Rachel Forringer of Ann Arbor, MI; a sister, Judith (James) Loughren of Slippery Rock, PA; a brother, David (Mary) Forringer of Prince Fredrick, MD; and a granddaughter, Anna Forringer-Beal.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019, 10:00 am at the First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Ann Arbor, 4001 Ann Arbor-Saline Rd, Ann Arbor, MI. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Clarion, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were entrusted to Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea.
