of Jackson, MI, formerly of Chelsea, MI, age 81, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home in Jackson, Michigan. She was born April 30, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of James & Sylvia (Enlow) Duncan, formerly of Chelsea.

Marlene graduated from Elizabethtown High School.  She worked for DANA in Chelsea and Global Dynamics in Ann Arbor.  Marlene was a member of New Living Covenant Church in Jackson, where she sang in the choir and volunteered in many areas of the church.  She loved to sew and cook.  She owned a ceramic shop “Pagoda Ceramics” in Chelsea for many years.  She and Don were foster parents for many years.

On August 22, 1958, she married Donald Krieger, and he survives. Other survivors include two sons, Kevin Krieger of Portage Lake, Ed (Dianna) Krieger of California; and three daughters, La'Denia (Rodney) Lemmon of Florida, Dawn (Mike) Birchmeier of Lennon, Koreen Sage of Kansas; three brothers, Arlow “Ray” (Bonnie) Duncan of Florida, Jerry Duncan of Ohio, Jim Duncan of Ohio and one sister, Ruth Duncan of Ohio; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son, Kelley (Dawn) Krieger, and one granddaughter, Jennifer.  

 A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 20, 6:00 pm  at New Covenant Living Church, Jackson, with Rev. Jerry Cox officiating.  Burial will be at Oak Grove East Cemetery in Chelsea, Michigan.  Memorial contributions may be made to New Covenant Living Church, 2405 W. Washington, Jackson MI, 49203. Arrangements by Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea.
