of Grass Lake, MI, formerly of Chelsea, age 79, died Friday, June 8, 2018 at Henry Ford Allegiance in Jackson, Michigan. He was born February 16, 1939 in Dearborn, Michigan, the son of Harry Paul & Cynthia (Daugherty) Lorenzen.  Ron served in the US Army as a cook from 1961-63. He retired from the Chelsea Post Office after 30 years. He loved working in his yard, which he took a lot of pride in. Ron enjoyed playing cards with his friends and family.   

On July 22, 1961, he married Ava L. Bulson in Plymouth, Michigan, and she preceded him in death on June 15, 1995. On July 1, 1997, he married Jeannene Marie Rowe in Toledo, Ohio, and she preceded him in death on December 18, 2014. Survivors include two children,  Ronald P. (Linda) Lorenzen of White Lake, MI; Sheila Lorenzen of Grass Lake; 3 grandchildren, Robert Lorenzen, Alisha Lorenzen-Brooks, Amber Lorenzen; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Tony Lorenzen of TN; a sister, Joan (Joe) Santoro of TN; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barb Perry.

The family will receive friends at Cole Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, June 12, from 3-5 & 7-9 pm.  Private burial will take place at Vermont Cemetery in Chelsea. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

I think I will get to present the flag at the cemetery.
I am a member of the Honor Guard that will do your loved ones military service. I was also a cook in the Army. 1959 -1962 at Fort Belvoir Va.
