of Pinckney, MI, formerly of Ann Arbor, age 68, died Monday, May 21, 2018 in her home. She was born February 6, 1950 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Neil Alfred & Mary J. (Thurow) Eschelbach. Julie graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1968. On September 12, 1970, she married the love of her life, William Jeffrey Bolgos in Ann Arbor. He preceded her in death on October 26, 2008. Julie and Jeff lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia and Clearwater, Florida before returning to Ann Arbor to raise their daughters. Julie was a voracious reader and news watcher, known for her phenomenal memory and arcane knowledge about any number of subjects. She loved the outdoors and when not working on a landscaping project or doing some sort of household cleaning or maintenance she enjoyed spending her days on the lake or thumping friends and family in horseshoes and cornhole.

Julie considered herself to be shy and one of her greatest traits was to create an environment that made everyone comfortable. No matter where they lived, Jeff and Julie had a stop by, open door policy in their home for family, friends, neighbors and their children’s friends. Julie was a great listener and a loyal friend and the home she created was one of comfort and solace to anyone who came by. Her wisdom, wit, strength and loyalty will be missed by many.

Julie is survived by her daughters, Jessica Pantano of Pinckney, and Johanna (Aaron) Andersen of Manchester; siblings James (Linda) Eschelbach, Patricia (Michael) Staebler, Dr. Michael (Emily) Eschelbach; sisters-in law Gale (Tom) Godfrey and Linda Bolgos; two grandchildren, Grace and Ivan Andersen; and beloved nieces and nephews Chad (Courtney) Godfrey, Alicia (Barry) Haith,  Corey Parker, Christi (Jim) Johnston, Julie (Mike) Wolber, James (Stephanie) Eschelbach, Scott Eschelbach, Ashley (Chris) Whitt, Leigha (Tim Rezaie) Staebler, Dr. Elizabeth (Alec) Wollensak, David Eschelbach, Abby (Derek) Lorenzen and Susan Eschelbach.
