of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, age 88, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, April 16, 2018 at his home. He was born March 2, 1930 in Plainfield,  NJ, the son of Leo W. & Florence E. (Hatch) Geisler. On Feb. 4, 1956, he married Eileen M. Zentz in Milan, MI.  Leo and Eileen moved to Chelsea in 2006, coming from Bethel Park, PA.   He was an Elder at the John McMillen Presbyterian Church in PA.  He worked for Pittsburgh  Plate Glass for 13 years, and the Heinz Corporation in plant maintenance for 22 years, retiring in 1992.  Leo was active with Boy Scout troop 476 and the Chelsea Senior Center computer club.  

 His wife, Eileen survives as well has his son, David (Theresa) Geisler of Virginia Beach, VA, and his three daughters Stephanie (James) Monaghan of La Plata, MD, Elizabeth (Tom) Girard of Chelsea, and Nancy Geisler of Midlothian, VA.  Other survivors include his brother, John Geisler of Hilton Head, SC; ten grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 20, 1:00 pm at Chelsea United Methodist Church,  with Rev. Joy Barrett officiating.  Burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.  Memorial contributions may be made to Chelsea Troop 476. Arrangements were entrusted to Cole Funeral Chapel.
