of Pinckney, MI, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 12, 2018 at her daughter’s home. She was born September 5, 1940 in Dansville, Michigan, the daughter of Emil & Minnie (Serenson) Zaske. Betty was a selfless mother who always put others before herself. She was a consummate peacemaker who was always smiling and always positive, with a sense of humor that would never stop. Betty worked behind the scenes, never seeking glory. Betty took care of many people, from babies to hospice. She enjoyed gardening and the outdoors, square dancing, sewing, traveling, and driving the church bus. She was the cool grandma who took her grandchildren on new adventures.
Survivors include her children, Vicki (David) Ribar, Erik Booker, Joseph Booker, Linda Booker; Donna Plasterer, Nancy (Mark) Zachos, John (Carolyn) Plasterer; a brother, Bob Zaske; a sister, Norma (Bob) Rolhoff; 5 grandchildren, Kris Ribar, Megan (David) Lang, Joellyn Plasterer, Morgan Plasterer, Anne Zachos; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Charles Booker and Donald Plasterer.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 19, 1:00 pm at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Chelsea, with Rev. Dale Grimm officiating. The family will receive friends Noon to 1:00 before the funeral. Burial will be held Tuesday, 11:00 am at Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to Concordia Lutheran School in Redford.
