Age 86, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 under the care of the angels at Country Meadows Care Home in Grass Lake. He was born December 15, 1924 in Chelsea, Michigan, the son of Vincent & Mary (Klepski) Koneski.
Stanley graduated from Chelsea High School in 1942. He was a WWII Army veteran who served in the Philippines. He worked for Chelsea Spring, and retired as a maintenance worker for Washtenaw County where he worked at the District Courthouse in Chelsea. Stan was a huge horse racing fan, and enjoyed everything related to baseball, especially the Tigers.
Survivors include his sister, Florence Ludtke of Chelsea; a very special niece who took care of Stan, Jackie (Howard Flintoft) Ludtke of Chelsea; and many other nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Pete; and three sisters, Sophie, Mary, and Ann.
At Stan’s request, no services were held. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Chelsea. Memorial contributions may be made to Country Meadows Care Home, 3775 Wolf Lake Rd, Grass Lake, MI 49240. Arrangements by Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea.
