of Chelsea, Michigan, age 35, lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 9, 1981 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Ryan grew up in Chelsea, and was a member of the CHS Class of 2000.  Ryan always said his daughter Kaylee was his life's most precious blessing.  He worked for SGS Towers in Ann Arbor, a job that allowed him to travel and fed his sense of adventure. Ryan was creative and innovative, able to fix anything, enjoyed building, and working with his hands.  He was a grateful member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Service and unity were a central part of his life. 

He is survived by his wife, Amanda, and his daughter, Kaylee. Other survivors include  his mother, Kimberly Timm-McQuarrie of Chelsea; his grandfather, Norman Timm of Alpena; 2 sisters, Stacey (Eric) Frisinger of Brighton, Stephanie (Scott) Buczek of Ann Arbor; two brothers, Sean McQuarrie and Christopher McQuarrie, both of Chelsea; niece, Avery Buczek; nephews, Jackson & Luke Frisinger and Dorian Buczek; many aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as a large recovery family.

A memorial service for Ryan will be held this Saturday (Feb. 4, 2017) at Dawn Farms Community Barn (6633 Stony Creek Rd, Ypsilanti, 48197) Luncheon to start at 1pm, memorial service to start at 3pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for Kaylee McQuarrie.  Arrangements by Cole Funeral Chapel.
