of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Milan and Saline, age 67, died Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born April 25, 1947, the daughter of Hayward H. & Florence E. (Govier) Barber.

Ann graduated from Milan High School, a member of the class of 1965.  She attended nursing school and was certified as an LPN.  While her children were in school, she provided daycare in her home, eventually transitioning to jobs at the Saline Public Library, Ypsilanti State Hospital, Evangelical Home in Saline, Huron Valley Correctional Facility, and the Jackson Prison Clinic.  Helping others was a fundamental part of who Ann was.  While living in Saline, she was active in the Saline United Methodist Church.  Ann will be remembered for her hugs, enjoying the time she spent with dear friends and family, traveling to her favorite spots around Michigan and the American West, and her unwavering support of the Detroit Tigers.
            
Survivors include two daughters, Margret “Margi” Chriscinske of Milan and Debra Prajzner of Jackson; one son, Eric (Meaghan Hughes) Chriscinske of Saline; one brother, Alfred Barber of Ann Arbor; one sister, Gail (Bernie) Wilson of Tecumseh; her grandchildren, Lyndsai, Emeleah, and Gracie; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandchild, Karen Ann.
