of Grass Lake, MI, age 77, died Friday, August 19, 2011 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital due to complications of esophageal cancer.

She was born January 24, 1934 in Chelsea, Michigan, the daughter of Garnett & Marguerite (Krontz) Weir.   Jackie was a 1952 graduate of Chelsea High School.  She worked for Chelsea Social Services and was Deputy Clerk for Waterloo Township.  Jackie attended the Waterloo United Methodist Church.  On March 22, 1957, she married Floyd J. Riethmiller in Chelsea, and he survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Debra of Grass Lake, and Susan of Billings, MT; two sisters, Barbara (Douglas) Egeler and Mary (Eugene) Alber.  She was preceded in death by her son, Russell in 1964, and her brother, Robert James Weir.  Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 23, 11:00 a.m. at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Rev. Georgie Dack officiating.  A private burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Waterloo.  The family received friends Sunday, 6-8 pm and Monday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the veterans organization of your choice.
